On Children KHALIL GIBRAN

On Children
 Kahlil Gibran
Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.

SUB VERB AGREEMENT-UNIT 2;LESSON 1

PLS READ THE PAGE AFTER CLICKING THE  LINK BELOW.

SUB VERB AGREEMENT

I HAVE FOUND THE PPT PRESENTATION AND THE QUIZZES GIVEN REALLY USEFUL FOR THE STUDENTS.

THE USE OF NEITHER ....NOR IN THE SCRIPT OF THIS HINDI SONG IS MARVELLOUS

Mera jeevan kora kaagaz kora hi reh gaya  my life was a blank paper, it remained blank
Jo likha tha whatever was written..
Jo likha tha aansoon sang beh gaya  whatever was written is washed away in tears
Mera jeevan Mera jeevan kora kaagaz kora hi reh gaya

Ik hawa jhoonka aaya  a gust of wind came
Tuut dali se phool  a flower was plucked from the branch
Na pavan ki na chaman ki neither the wind nor the garden
Kiski hai ye bhool is at fault here
Kho gayi kho gayi  got lost...
Khushboo hawa mein kuch na reh gaya  fragrance was lost in the wind, nothing remained

Mera jeevan kora kaagaz kora hi reh gaya

Udte panchi ka thikana  even a flying bird has home
Mera na koijahan I don't have any
Na dagar hai na khabar hai neither have I a path nor idea
Jana hai mujhko kahan that where I have to go
Ban ke sapna just a dream
Humsafar ka saath reh gaya  of my life partner remained with me

Mera jeevan kora kaagaz kora hi reh gaya

Dukh ke andar sukh ki jyoti  spark of happiness lies in sadness
Dukh hi sukh ka gyan Un happiness only emphasizes happiness
Dard sah ke janm leta bearing pain he gets born
Har koi insan every human being
Vo sukhi hai he is happy who
Jo khushi se dard sah gaya bore every pain unperturbed

Mera jeevan kora kaagaz kora hi reh gaya
