Strongly condemning New Education Policy - announced by the Central Government,

In its bid to go for all out privatization, commercialization, saffronization and fascisation BJP led central government has announced this destructive education policy in total disregard of the protests of large number of educationists, teachers, scientists, intellectuals, guardians and students cunningly taking the advantage of the helpless condition of the people caused by Covid-19 pandemic.
The objects of NEP-2020 are as follows.

1. To abolish all remnants of democratic functioning of the educational bodies and establish complete bureaucratic governmental control over education.

2. To destroy scientific, democratic, secular thinking and foster religious, obscure, medieval mentality among students against the teachings of Raja Rammohan, Pandit Iswarchandra Vidyasagar, Joyoti Rao Phule and all great pioneers of Indian Renaissance.

3. To allow national and foreign corporates to turn education as a business sector to earn profit by exploiting the students which would increase the cost of education to such height that would become unbearable for the common students and thus maximum number of common students will be deprived of the scope of education.

4. To hand over education sector to corporates and paving the ground for government to shrug off its financial responsibility.

5. To turn the ‘educated community’ in the words of Einstein ‘literate machine’ devoid of human values and culture.

This New Education Policy is anti-people anti-education and a fascist design to serve the ruling capitalist class and ruling party,

We call upon all section of the teachers, educationists, intellectuals, guardians, students and people to resist and compel the government to abandon this destructive policy.-Swapan Ghosh

Yes-I read that. The comment is stupid
The change one of the best that came into existence. Now does that mean it is flawless-of course it is not.Although you say -focus on topic-you cannot ignore politicisation of the statement.

Three  things that I particularly  liked -

1. Priority to mother toungue

2. Students  can choose to get certificate, diploma, degree and advanced degree. You don't totally lose if you give up on your studies at some point. And the possibility to start later, where you left.

3.The new system is much in line with international systems-especially credits system. It will help those who want to go abroad -es ( For example  if your degree is from MG University-you don't have the option of getting Honours degree( don't know if it is changed recently)-all it needed is long assignment apart from the regular course. One with Honours degree has an advantage over Ordinary degree( that is the term used) on jobs. Some training even require Honours degree-especislly in teaching).-George ,USA

Dear friends ,We will now discuss the changes in education policy here -Main  changes-
 1.Name Of The Ministry

Ministry of Human Resource has been changed to the Ministry Of Education.

2.Coding From Class 6th:School children will be now taught coding from class 6th.
This is a big, important decision by the Govt.
The concept of programming and coding helps a long way in problem-solving and creating a result-oriented mentality. Along with Maths and English, Coding too will become mainstream.
This whole exciting world of IT will seep deep into villages and towns.

( 3).More Choices For Students
Under the new Education Policy, there will be no restriction on choosing a different stream.

One of the most outdated rules was that if a student is into Arts, they cannot choose Maths.

Or if you are an engineer, doing humanities is not possible.

Now, anyone can choose anything. The credits, marks will be transferred as per a new standard, benchmark.

Besides, a student can leave after 1 year, or 2 or 3 years or complete their graduation. For every year of completion, they get a diploma degree.

This converts to more freedom, and more choices.

(4)Real World Experience For Students

From class 6, students can learn a skill, trade, business vertical by doing actual work under them. Like, a student can work with an artist, an entrepreneur, maybe an astronaut.
This will help young students to gain actual, real-world and practical experience of this world.

(5)Football ~ English

Every sport will have the same marks and weightage, like that of say English or Geography or Maths.
It opens up a new paradigm for those students, who know sports is their ultimate dream. And what’s better than to get equal marks based on their talent.
(These are the 5 biggest changes, as per our opinion.-inputs from trak.in)

Medium of instruction should be mother tongue or regional language till class 5, preferably till class 8.;
