THE FIRST E ARTICLE FROM MY STUDENTS

                              THE WRECK OF THE TITANIC...
The poem “the wreck of the Titanic” was written by Benjamin peck Keith.

Sir, in my opinion, this poem describes about the greatest tragedies at sea. The luxury ship carried 2100 people including the crew. It was the first and last voyage of ‘The Titanic’. The main theme of the poem is, the feelings and the painful death of the passengers. Moreover it is about  managing disasters bravely. Captain Smith advised the crew to remain brave and British. The women and children were the first to be saved. When the ship was going to sink, the music band did not try to escape, instead they played the song “Nearer my god to thee”. This poem is a model for those who are not brave.

The poem 'THE WRECK OF THE TITANIC' is a highly inspiring piece of Literature written by Benjamin Peck Keith, a famous American poet. The Title itself indicates the prominent theme of the poem. The main theme.of the poem is the tragic wreck of the passenger ship 'The Titanic' at the Atlantic ocean. Also there are the themes of 'Bravery' in the moments of death, 'unselfish helpfulness' and 'sacrificing mentality.' The poem begins dramatically with the description of the queen like movement of the beautiful passenger liner 'The Titanic.' The ship is like a 'poem of iron and steel'. Thousands of people were watching her steaming away from the port. It was the first and the last voyage of 'The Titanic'. Soon it hit a towering mountain of iceberg and the ship began to sink. The bold Captain Smith advised the crew to remain 'brave and British'. 'The women and Children' were first to be saved. While the ship was sinking the band played the music, 'Nearer my God to Thee'. The poet concludes the poem by saying that the Titanic's story shall sound sublime forever.-NIVEDYA BHOOSHAN
