Mahe,
though a part of the Union Territory of Pondicherry (Puducherry) is
geographically situated between Calicut (Kozhikode) and Cannanore (Kannur), two
major towns in Kerala.
How to reach Mahe?
By road: On the NH 17, 30 kms. from Kannur on the north, and 62 kms. from
Kozhikode on the south. (Bus route: Kozhikode—Kannur). Frequency of buses:
Every 10 minutes.
By rail: Mahe has a
railway station, but some of the long distance trains don’t have a stop there.
Kozhikode and Vatakara on the south and Kannur and Thalassery on the north are
the nearby major railway stations
By air: Calicut
(Kozhikode) in Kerala and Mangalore in Karnataka are the nearest airports.
