Wake up activities-TEACHING ENGLISH

 SUNDAY THOUGHTS Lesson : 115

Dear Teachers,

So far we have been discussing the various issues of English Language Teaching. Obviously this would be of much help to those who intend to undertake research work.

Since we are practising teachers, classroom activities to develop English Language would be of much help.

Some of the activities can be done in between our lessons or as we call it wake up activities.

1. Claps:

See , Claps give sound and movement of hands. Action is very important in the primary classes. When we narrate the story of animals

sometimes we may have to act or produce

the sound like animals

Rain clap as we all know is placing fingers 1,2,3,4 in order to get pitter patter rain sound.

2. When the teacher says 1.

2 claps by the students

on 2.          3 claps

on 3           No clap

on 4            1 Clap
